Virginia Steindorf

A Southern belle from Georgia who found herself in the heart of Silicon Valley for college at Stanford, Virginia combined her curiosity for people with her love of technology through a degree in cognitive science. Her early career was a sampler of companies, teams, and roles: from product management, product marketing, market research, and user research, to LinkedIn, Microsoft, and finally Spotify.

At Spotify, she’s honored to study the users she feels most passionate about – musical artists. While she’s a qualitative researcher at heart, she loves a good survey and especially loves getting to work with her data scientist work-husband, Brett. Outside of Spotify, she mentors rising user research stars through a program that supports women and nonbinary UX professionals (Hexagon) and sings soprano in a contemporary NYC-based choir called Ember.
